Maksim Ponomariov

Role in the company: developing the group’s commercial policy

In 1997, he graduated from the Faculty of Law of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv State University, earning a Specialist's (Master's equivalent) degree in Law.

In 2000, he graduated from the Institute for Advanced Training at Kharkiv Polytechnic University, obtaining a qualification as an Intellectual Property Manager.

From 1997 to 2003, he worked within Ukraine's industrial property protection system, serving at the State Patent Office of Ukraine and in the Office of the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine within the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

From 2003 to 2026, he held positions in leading state-owned companies and government institutions in Ukraine's energy and oil & gas sectors, including Gas of Ukraine (a subsidiary of Naftogaz of Ukraine), Naftogaz of Ukraine, the Ministry of Fuel and Energy of Ukraine, NPC Ukrenergo, Ukrhydroenergo, and the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.

Since 2026, he has been serving as Commercial Director at Metropoliya Group.
